About the Organisation
Our client is a forward-thinking clinical research organisation and SMO delivering scientifically rigorous trials through a collaborative CRO model, established site network, and innovative therapy development programmes. They specialise in Mental Health and CNS research, supporting complex and novel drug development studies across Phase II–III clinical trials, and are continuing to scale their UK site operations.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Site Operations Manager to join a growing clinical research team in London, with responsibility across two active research sites. This is a senior operational leadership role focused on site performance, delivery, and team leadership, with full accountability for ensuring studies are executed on time, within budget, and to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end operations across two clinical research sites, ensuring trials are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with protocol.
- Drive site performance through patient recruitment, resource planning, and effective utilisation of clinic capacity.
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, setting clear expectations, managing performance, and maintaining a strong delivery-focused culture.
- Act as the operational lead for sponsors, CROs and external partners, ensuring smooth communication and issue resolution.
- Maintain full oversight of compliance, audit readiness, CAPAs and SOP adherence across both sites.
- Monitor key delivery metrics and proactively identify risks, implementing solutions to keep studies on track.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience within clinical research site or SMO operations (essential).
- Proven ability to deliver commercial clinical trials at site level, with full ownership of performance.
- Experience leading teams within a live, fast-paced clinical research environment.
- Solid understanding of ICH-GCP, MHRA and UK regulatory frameworks.
- Confident stakeholder manager, comfortable working directly with sponsors and CROs.
- Highly organised, solutions-driven, and able to operate with autonomy.
