As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping children and young people achieve positive outcomes and build brighter futures. Working as part of a dedicated and supportive team, you will provide day‑to‑day care, encouragement, and stability to children living within our residential homes.

About the Role

No two days are the same in residential childcare. You will support children and young people through both rewarding moments and challenges, helping them to develop confidence, resilience, and positive life experiences. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing a safe, caring, and nurturing home environment
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with children and young people
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing and encouraging personal development
  • Acting as a positive role model and helping children overcome challenges
  • Supporting day‑to‑day household tasks including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining the home environment
  • Transporting children to appointments, education, and activities
  • Working collaboratively within a highly regulated and professional care setting

This is a rewarding role where patience, kindness, resilience, and understanding are essential.

About You

We are looking for caring, motivated individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and young people. You may already have experience working with children or young people, although this is not essential — full training will be provided. To be successful, you will need:

  • A caring, patient, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • A willingness to work as part of a team in a challenging but rewarding environment
  • A full UK driving licence (essential) — access to a company vehicle is provided during work
  • A Level 3 qualification in Children’s Workforce/Residential Childcare is desirable but not essential. If you do not already hold this qualification, Evolve will fully fund and support you to achieve it within your first two years in post.
