About the job

As Fusion Partner Office Administrator, you’ll provide administrative support to the team coordinating the partnership between UKAEA and UK Industrial Fusion Solutions (UKFE), helping to enable delivery of the STEP programme. You’ll support governance, maintain accurate records and help ensure partnership activities run smoothly and efficiently.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Manage the Fusion Partner Office shared inbox, prioritising and responding to enquiries and escalating where appropriate.
  • Take ownership of assigned administrative processes, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Support internal approval processes through the CARS system, monitoring progress and following up on outstanding actions.
  • Maintain and administer timesheet processes, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
  • Support meetings through scheduling, agenda preparation, minute-taking and action tracking.
  • Carry out mandatory data checks, identifying discrepancies and supporting their resolution.
  • Maintain accurate and accessible records and documentation to support governance, audit and reporting.
  • Provide general administrative support, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials and coordinating activities across teams.
  • Act as a point of contact for administrative queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and ways of working.

What You’ll Bring

  • A relevant administrative or business support qualification, such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Business Administration
  • Experience providing administrative support within a busy office environment.
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Experience managing shared inboxes and responding to queries in a timely manner.
  • Experience supporting meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes and tracking actions.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and carrying out data checks.
