Due to extensive growth, Fusion Consulting Group are looking to recruit a Payroll Assistant to join a leading Professional Services Group in our Hatfield office, in Hertfordshire.
The group has several subsidiaries ranging from Tax, Accounting, Legal, Financial Services and Recruitment. Our mission is to disrupt the disjointed Professional Services space.
Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll Assistant to join our team in our Hatfield, Hertfordshire office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience working within an accountancy practice (or similar), with a strong understanding of payroll procedures and regulations.
The Payroll Assistant will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion and will report directly to the Payroll Manager.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily administration of various client payrolls including RTI submissions to HMRC, processing of Year End information, reconciliations, payslip generation
- Dealing with both internal and external updates in regards to clients, team members, pension providers and queries with HMRC
- Comply with auto enrolment processes
- Manual calculations of salary including over/under payments, annual leave etc
- PAYE, National Insurance, SSP, SMP, SAP, attachment of earnings/orders
- Auto enrolment pension processing
Person Specification
- Previous experience working as a Payroll Assistant, Payroll Executive, Payroll Coordinator or in a similar payroll-related role
- Ideally one-to-two years exposure working within accountancy practice
- Possess knowledge of auto enrolment pensions regulations, providing accurate advice and administration support
- Ability to adapt to changing regulations and ensure compliance
