Due to extensive growth and acquisitions, Fusion Consulting Group are looking to recruit an experienced Mixed Tax and Accounts Senior to be based out of our head office, in Finchley, North London.

The group has several subsidiaries ranging from Tax, Accounting, Legal, Financial Services and Recruitment. Our mission is to disrupt the disjointed Professional Services space.

Job Summary

Working with our team of accountants, you will be required to complete end to end accounting and taxation tasks for a range of SME businesses and individuals, using industry leading tools. The Mixed Tax and Accounts Senior will report directly to the Partners.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of self-assessment tax returns for individuals, sole traders, and partnerships.
  • Preparing sole trader and partnership accounts, ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations.
  • Supporting the Partners in managing their client portfolio and gradually taking responsibility for handovers.
  • Attending client meetings with the Partner, building rapport, and providing proactive advice.
  • Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients where required.
  • Assisting with general tax queries and providing tailored solutions.
  • Ensuring deadlines are met and maintaining excellent client service standards.

Person Specification

  • Previous experience within practice, with a focus on tax compliance and accounts for sole traders/partnerships.
  • Strong knowledge of UK self-assessment and partnership tax rules.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident in attending and contributing to client meetings.
  • Proactive, organised, and able to manage deadlines effectively.
  • Comfortable using accounting and tax software packages.
