Minimum 5 years experience as a machine tool service engineer or maintenance engineer. Willingness to travel nationwide with the occasional night away.

About Fusion CNC: We are a small family company based in the West Midlands, covering the whole of the UK. We were set up in 2021 and are now looking to expand the business by adding another engineer to the company. We service and repair various CNC Machine tools including Mazak, Doosan, Mori Seiki, Bridgeport and more.

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Field Service Engineer with a strong mechanical bias to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and repairing a variety of CNC machine tools at client sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your engineering expertise in a dynamic environment, providing essential support to ensure optimal operational performance. The position involves travel to customer locations, requiring flexibility and excellent customer service skills.

Duties:

  • Complete full annual services to various different machines either alone or with another engineer.
  • Diagnose technical mechanical issues.
  • Removal and refitting of various parts including ballscrews and spindles.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a machine tool service engineer.
  • Willingness to travel nationwide and occasionally stay away.
  • Experience with Mazatrol and/or Fanuc controls.
  • Good mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach to client interactions.
  • Ability to work independently in diverse environments while maintaining safety standards.
  • Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering are preferred but not required.

Job Perks:

  • Standard working hour - Monday to Thursday: 8.5 hours, Friday: 6 hours.
  • Overtime paid at x1.5.
  • Company car or mileage paid on personal car.
  • 28 days paid holiday rising to 33 days after 5 years (including bank holidays).
