Fusion Academy is a fully accredited 1-to-1 private school for grades 4-12. As an English and History Teacher, you will have the flexibility to shape your schedule, design creative lessons, and collaborate with passionate colleagues. Our diverse team of lifelong learners shares a mission to personalize education for every student - academically, socially, and emotionally. Experience and passion to work with 4th - 8th grade is a plus!
Pay is $28.50 per hour. Position starts off part-time with the opportunity to grow hours into full-time (30 plus hours per week with benefits).
Responsibilities- Teach in a truly personalized way - one student at a time.
- Adapt lessons and assessments to meet each learner's needs.
- Mentor each student and support their social-emotional growth.
- Build strong, consistent partnerships with parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to campus life or culture.
- Keep student records accurate and organized.
- Invest in your own growth through reflection, feedback, and ongoing professional development.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees or a teaching credential is a plus.
- Ability and willingness to teach a wide range of courses (English Composition, Literature, Language Arts, World and U.S. History, Government, Economics, Humanities, and Electives), following content standards - curriculum and resources provided.
- Experience working with students, including those with learning differences, neurodiversity, accelerated learning needs, and/or mental health challenges.
- Mentoring experience and a passion for social-emotional learning.
- Outgoing, adaptable, and eager to thrive in a dynamic, student-centered environment.
- Skilled with technology, curious about innovation, and open to learning new tools.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- A growth mindset with the flexibility to pivot and problem-solve as needed.
We offer a package for full-time employees which generally includes medical, dental, and vision plans, vacation time (for certain positions) in accordance with company policy and state law, accident and life insurance as well as short- and long-term disability. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
