This is a pivotal senior role within Fushi Wellbeing, responsible for the full management of the finance function. As Senior Finance Manager, you will own the integrity and performance of all financial operations, reporting into the Head of Finance and contributing to the Leadership Team’s commercial decision-making.
You will take full ownership of the finance function, including monthly management accounts, cashflow, budgeting, and departmental expenditure tracking. You will Lead, Manage, and be Accountable (LMA) for two Finance Assistants – one responsible for Accounts Receivable and one for Accounts Payable – supporting their development and ensuring the team operates to the highest standard.
You will be coached through a structured handover by the Head of Finance, giving you the foundation to take confident ownership of the function. What You’ll Own
- Financial Reporting and Management Accounts
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts to the Leadership Team, including P&L, cashflow statement, and balance sheet.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting in line with the EOS Scorecard cadence.
- Oversee month-end close, including Trial Balance reconciliation, VAT returns, and bank reconciliations.
- Manage the invoice finance facility relationship, including reconciliations, monthly reports, and year-end audit support.
- Ensure the business maintains adequate liquidity to meet its operational and growth needs, using the cashflow forecast to anticipate funding requirements, sourcing facilities from the market at the most competitive rates, and proactively exploring financial products that can strengthen the business’s financial position.
- Produce and maintain Odoo dashboards and financial reports for all departments.
- Budgeting and Expenditure Tracking
- Set and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the GM/Founder and Leadership Team.
- Track operational, sales, and marketing expenditure with each department manager, reviewing performance against budget on a monthly basis.
- Identify and communicate variances, working with department heads to address under- or over-performance.
- Monitor overhead spending, stock levels, and workshop production costs in line with budget.
- Track and report gross profit for the business as a whole and broken down by each sales channel, ensuring leadership has clear visibility of channel-level profitability.
- Manage all finance tasks and projects on ClickUp, ensuring full visibility and accountability across the team.
- Technology, Automation, and AI
- Act as the finance function’s lead on technology, owning the Odoo ERP system and driving best practice across all finance processes.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities within the finance function – from invoice processing and bank reconciliation through to reporting workflows.
- Champion the use of AI-enabled tools to improve accuracy, reduce manual effort, and increase the speed of financial insight.
- Work closely with the IT Business Analyst to integrate financial systems and ensure data integrity across platforms including Shopify, ShipStation, and Amazon.
- Take ownership of financial data integrity across the business, ensuring all data used for reporting, decision-making, and operational planning is accurate, consistent, and reliable.
- Accounts Receivable and Payable Oversight
- Oversee the AR function, including customer invoicing, credit notes, aged debtors, invoice finance reconciliations, and Amazon account management.
- Oversee the AP function, including supplier invoice processing, aged creditors, payment runs, and payroll support.
- Review and sign off on weekly payment lists and monthly VAT reports before submission.
- Monitor marketing costs and accruals in collaboration with the Marketing and Sales teams, ensuring all marketing activities generate profitable contributions to the business.
- Review and assess Joint Marketing Plans submitted by the Sales team, ensuring all agreed trade activities and retail partner investments are evaluated against their contribution to gross profit.
- Lead, Manage, and Accountable (LMA) – Team Leadership
- Lead, Manage, and be Accountable for two Finance Assistants, providing clear direction, regular one-to-ones, and structured performance reviews.
- Set quarterly Rocks and measurable goals for each team member in line with the EOS framework.
- Conduct weekly check-ins aligned to the L10 meeting cadence, ensuring To-Dos are tracked and issues are surfaced and resolved promptly.
- Support the professional development of both assistants, identifying training needs and coaching opportunities.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the finance team.
- Compliance and Commercial Support
- Ensure full compliance with HMRC requirements, including VAT returns, payroll obligations, and statutory filings.
- Support the GM/Founder with financial due diligence for commercial partnerships, new channel launches, and export markets.
- Provide financial analysis and scenario modelling to support pricing, margin management, and investment decisions.
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required.
Who We’re Looking For

- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or qualified by significant experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior finance role, ideally within an SME, consumer goods, or health and beauty environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Odoo ERP – hands-on experience configuring and managing finance modules is essential.
- Demonstrable experience implementing process automation and AI tools within a finance function.
- Strong technical accounting skills across management accounts, cashflow, budgeting, VAT, and payroll.
- Excellent command of Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with ClickUp, Shopify, and Amazon Vendor/FBA an advantage.
- Experience managing and developing junior finance team members.
- Commercially minded with the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insight for non-finance stakeholders.
- Confident communicator with the ability to present to the Leadership Team and work cross-functionally with department managers.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities to strict deadlines.

What Success Looks Like
Within your first 90 days, you will have completed a structured handover with the Head of Finance, taken ownership of the monthly management accounts cycle, and established a clear rhythm of departmental budget reviews with each function head. Both Finance Assistants will have clarity on their priorities, structured one-to-ones in the diary, and quarterly Rocks agreed.
By the end of your first year, the finance function will be running with greater automation and efficiency, financial reporting will be a reliable and trusted tool for leadership decision-making, and you will have contributed meaningfully to Fushi’s commercial performance and growth trajectory.
