ABOUT THE BRAND

Founded in 2011 by Rannesh Jansari and Ria Pattni, Fushi is an award-winning, Ayurveda-inspired health and beauty brand on a mission to enhance women's wellbeing – and their families – by creating ethically-made health and beauty solutions that positively impact lives. All our products are handmade in our London workshop and rooted in authenticity, sustainability, and Ayurvedic wisdom. Fushi is guided by its Vision/Traction Organiser (V/TO), and we are proud to live our core values – Integrity, Humility, Commitment and Kindness – while nurturing a people-first culture driven by Authenticity, Ownership, an Agile Mindset, and Continuous Improvement.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As Production Manager, you will lead Fushi's manufacturing operations – ensuring that all production runs smoothly, safely, and to the highest possible quality. You'll manage a team of skilled production operatives, oversee workflow and scheduling, and maintain rigorous compliance with organic, GMP and quality certifications. This is a key leadership role in the supply chain function – ensuring our fresh-pressed oils and herbal remedies are made consistently, efficiently and in alignment with both customer demand and company values. You'll also play a crucial role in continuous improvement, team development, and delivering against operational Rocks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Production Planning & Execution
    • Lead and manage daily production activity across the London workshop.
    • Create and maintain production schedules that align with sales demand and stock planning.
    • Ensure batch manufacturing, filling, labelling, and packing are carried out efficiently and in line with specification.
    • Work cross-functionally with Procurement, Warehouse, and Demand Planning to ensure material and labour readiness.
    • Supervise and develop a team of production operatives – providing structure, clarity and ongoing coaching.
    • Plan and allocate daily team resource effectively, ensuring skillsets match operational needs.
    • Set clear performance expectations and monitor team output to maintain high standards of quality and productivity.
  • Health & Safety & Compliance
    • Ensure full compliance with health and safety policies and risk assessments at all times.
    • Conduct regular audits of procedures and equipment to maintain safety, hygiene, and legal compliance.
    • Maintain Fushi's certifications – including Organic, GMP ISO 22716, and COSMOS standards – by embedding daily best practice.
  • Quality Control & Process Optimisation
    • Own the quality and consistency of finished products and ensure all outputs meet required specifications.
    • Monitor and report on production KPIs including yield, downtime, output rate and labour efficiency.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and improve batch control or packaging processes.
    • Work closely with the Quality, Warehouse, and NPD teams to support product launches and stock accuracy.
    • Maintain smooth and timely communication across all departments involved in production and fulfilment.
    • Contribute to planning meetings and share data-driven insights to inform wider operational decision-making.

KEY SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a production, operations, or manufacturing leadership role – ideally in FMCG, wellness or beauty.
  • Deep understanding of GMP, health and safety legislation, and regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong team leadership capabilities – with the ability to coach, inspire and coordinate multiple staff and shifts.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities and production demands.
  • Analytical mindset – able to track performance data and implement practical improvements.
  • Resilient and calm under pressure – with strong communication and a collaborative spirit.
  • Passion for wellness, sustainability, and hands-on operations.
