Marketing Intelligence and Reporting is an SME team that provides deep expertise in selling and delivering several Omni client solutions. These solutions are major differentiators that put Omnicom ahead of the competition.
Specific responsibilities of the team include:
- Scoping and delivering all Omni Marketing Intelligence and Reporting work for Omnicom clients, including Data Governance and QA.
- Dashboard design, build and maintenance.
- Deployment and Maintenance of TW/Planit (&TrackIT, SignIT).
The Marketing Intelligence and Reporting team works closely with the US Marketing Intelligence team and the Annalect India team to deliver scalable solutions at a global level.
ROLE SUMMARY: We are looking for a Data Operations and Reporting Director, who will lead all data operations and reporting workstreams for one of Omnicom’s global clients. You are passionate about telling stories through creative representation of data. You have a very good grasp of collecting, processing and analysing large scale media data. You understand data infrastructure and data operations and know the challenges of building enterprise scale performance reporting. You want to work in regional and global roles with the opportunity to drive best practices and innovation across agencies and teams around clever use of data in marketing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead all data operations and reporting workstreams globally for a Tier 1 global Omnicom client.
- Lead client conversations as subject matter expert, and be responsible for all aspects of successful scoping, execution, and delivery of the projects.
- Partner with Annalect’s global performance reporting team to ensure all projects are appropriately priced, resourced and the project teams are onboarded in a timely manner.
- Ensure clear communication and alignment between the client, client teams, and Annalect India team.
- Identify and remove any blockers or risks in the projects.
- Oversee and ensure all projects conform to the Taxonomy, naming conventions and governance best practices set by the global performance reporting team.
- Design functional solutions of data pipelines, data operations, reporting and underlying data infrastructure as a part of project scoping.
- Create and communicate EMEA standards and best practices for data operations and reporting.
- Work with EMEA country-specific teams to identify their current state of data ops and performance reporting and establish action plans towards a standardised and harmonised way of providing reporting services to Omnicom clients in EMEA.
- Participate in running a community of data ops and performance reporting experts across the EMEA region.
Additionally, individual objectives are agreed and reviewed on a quarterly basis (as a minimum frequency).
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in running a data operations, media operations, reporting, dashboarding, or a related business intelligence practice.
- Experience of working in marketing communication companies is highly desirable.
- Experience in campaign performance reporting or programmatic performance reporting is highly desirable.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience of writing proposals with a variety of pricing components.
- Proven track record of selling packaged reporting solutions by presenting the solution, demonstrating value and articulating competitive advantage over competitors’ solutions.
- Strong functional understanding of data and data infrastructure.
- Strong coordination and operational skills.
- Ability to define and operationalise processes and best practices.
- Ability to coordinate and effectively communicate across a wide range of geographically distributed teams.
- Extensive experience with one or more of Tableau, Power BI or MCI (Datorama) is a must.
- Practical experience with Alteryx, GCP or SQL is preferable.
