About the Role:
We’re looking for an Account Director who can thrive in a successful and fast-paced agency environment. You will report to the Senior Account Director and will be the main day-to-day point of contact with the client. The client is a global partner of UEFA and the primary focus will be managing the communications, requesting and approval process, and delivery of the clients tickets and events and hospitality activations across all in-season Champions League matches. There may be an additional need to support the Champions League Final, as well as any other contracted events that the client has with UEFA.
You will have strong communication skills, needing to communicate with a pool of global clients, and strong leadership ability, managing 3 direct reports. The successful candidate will also have good organization skills, able to manage multiple projects at once, and keen eye and attention to detail. You will also have excellent Microsoft Excel skills and knowledge of ticketing guest management systems would be a bonus.
Main day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Be the main day-to-day point of contact with the client for all ticketing queries
- Managing/overseeing the communications with the client market leads
- Managing/overseeing the requesting and approval process for in-season UCL and UWCL matches
- Overseeing the delivery of client tickets for UCL and UWCL
- Weekly calls with the client on UEFA Champions League Final
- Organising task execution for all communications with the client markets for UCLF/UWCLF
- Quality control on all documents/PPT/presentations/decks for UCLF/UWCLF
- Lead on enhancements and fixes with our ticketing system supplier
- Working with our events and hospitality team, and our ticketing system supplier, to develop the ticketing portal and event app for the UCLF
- Leading weekly team calls
- Regular check-ins with the events and hospitality team
Desired Skills & Experience:
You need to have an ability & willingness to work flexibly, usually in the London office, with occasional UK travel, on site at events and some weekend work. This is a full-time role & you must be eligible to work in the UK. The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Experience in marketing, specifically in managing partnerships, ticketing, and hospitality
- Project/Account management experience across a range of sport brands would be ideal
- Experience with online ticketing portals and guest management systems preferred
- Strong or advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- A thorough understanding and comfortable in managing financial processes with strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Strong reporting capability
- Experience in managing mid to senior level clients and internal stakeholders
- Experience of working with international clients would be a bonus but not essential
- Experience of people management and ability to motivate and manage project teams
