Fuse Energy is a forward-thinking renewable energy startup dedicated to transforming the energy landscape. We are seeking a skilled CAD Engineer with a strong background in power/electrical engineering to support various projects across our EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) and R&D teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality designs, including wiring schematic diagrams, site layouts, Ready For Construction and As Built technical drawings for utility scale energy generation projects (solar, wind, CCNG, etc.), ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed CAD drawings for electrical systems, layouts, and construction plans, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Develop and maintain accurate Single Line Diagrams, adhering to electrical and grid requirements
- Support the R&D team with CAD expertise, creating drawings and models for prototypes and innovative designs.
- Optimise system layouts, cable routing, and equipment placement for maximum efficiency
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to maintain organised CAD files and documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor\’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (with a focus on power infrastructure), or a related field
- 3+ years in CAD drafting, with experience in electrical design and utility scale energy infrastructure projects
- Proficient in AutoCAD or similar CAD tools. Experience in PVCase and PVSyst is highly preferred. Prior experience creating CAD drawings that supported successful project construction
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and Design for Manufacturing.
- Solid knowledge of electrical systems, design principles, and industry standards (e.g., BS 7671, IEC). Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and a desire to work in a fast paced environment
Bonus
- Bachelor\’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, PVCase)
- Proven track record of delivering technical drawings for utility scale energy infrastructure projects such as solar, wind, BESS, gas, etc
- Familiarity with 3D modelling (e.g., Revit) or BIM workflows
