Fuse Energy is a forward-thinking renewable energy company on a mission to deliver a terawatt of clean energy globally. We are creating a fully integrated energy system: from developing utility-scale solar and wind projects to real-time power trading and distributed energy installations. By selling directly to consumers, we lower costs and pass the savings on to our customers. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Renewables Lead to head our domestic installation engineering operations in the UK. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in scaling our installation capability, managing our engineering team structure, and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery across our domestic portfolio, which includes solar, EV chargers, heat pumps, and plug-in battery systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage our UK renewable installation operations, supervising a team of junior and senior field engineers.
  • Act as the primary technical authority for the domestic fleet, handling complex technical escalations and ensuring field engineering decisions remain robust and compliant.
  • Establish and refine robust quality assurance frameworks, review processes, and field audits to maintain an elite standard of installation quality.
  • Overhaul and manage the onboarding, continuous training, and monitoring programs to ensure our entire installing fleet is highly qualified and compliant.
  • Oversee domestic installations and commissioning across multiple technologies, ensuring full compliance with UK regulations, MCS standards, and health and safety policies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support the development and rollout of our next-generation hardware and product specifications.
  • Own our renewable accreditation strategy, maintaining our MCS compliance and developing the processes, documentation, and training required to expand and audit our approved installer network.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence and safety across the entire engineering division.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience leading and managing distributed electrical or renewable installation teams.
  • Fully qualified electrician with relevant UK qualifications (NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, or equivalent) and qualified to act as an Electrical Qualified Supervisor.
  • Proven experience with the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of domestic Solar PV, EV charge points, and Heat Pump systems.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor engineers and maintain high performance under tight timelines.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK electrical regulations, health and safety protocols, and MCS compliance.
  • Full UK driving license.
