Fuse Energy is a forward-thinking renewable energy startup on a mission to deliver a terawatt of renewable energy - fast. We are combining first-principles thinking with cutting-edge technology to build a radically better energy system. We raised $170M from top-tier investors including Multicoin, Balderton, Lakestar, Accel, Creandum, Lowercarbon, Ribbit, Box Group and strategic angels like Nico Rosberg, the Co-Founder of Solana and GPs behind Meta, Revolut, Spotify, Uber and more. We are creating a fully integrated energy company: from developing solar, wind and hydrogen projects to real-time power trading and distributed energy installations. By selling directly to consumers, we cut out the middleman, lower costs and pass on savings to customers. We are also building the Energy Network: a decentralised platform of smart devices that rewards users in Energy Dollars for electrifying their homes, shifting usage to off-peak hours, and helping balance the grid. This network strengthens grid stability - a critical foundation for scaling AI data centres and other energy-intensive industries.

We are currently looking for Finance Interns to join the team at our London office in Canary Wharf. This 6 month paid internship offers an exceptional opportunity for ambitious individuals to gain valuable experience in a fast moving environment. You will gain exposure to the inner workings of a high-performance startup and develop a strong understanding of how a finance function supports commercial decision-making and operational growth.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and reconciling supplier invoices (power purchases, certificates, grid charges, contractors)
  • Supporting the month-end close process, including accruals, prepayments and revenue checks
  • Performing trading and revenue reconciliations
  • Supporting cash management activities and payment runs
  • Improving internal finance processes and strengthening financial controls
  • Building analytical models to support commercial and strategic decision-making
  • Working cross-functionally with other teams, including Installation, Development and R&D

Requirements

  • STEM degree from a top university
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong collaborating skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
  • A flexible and adaptable approach
  • Great attention to detail
  • Strong sense of initiative and the ability to work independently
  • London based and authorised to work in the UK (Fuse does not sponsor visas for internships)
  • Finance experience is a plus, but not necessary

Benefits

  • Competitive internship salary
  • Fully expensed tech to match your needs
  • Breakfast and dinner allowance for office based employees
  • Opportunities for fast progression
