Descriptionuse is an AI-first energy company on a mission to make energy abundant and affordable, fast.
We combine first-principles thinking with cutting-edge technology to build a radically better energy system.
We've raised over $200M from top-tier investors including Balderton, Lakestar, Accel, Creandum, Lowercarbon, Ribbit, 20VC, Hummingbird and Collaborative Fund, alongside strategic angels including Nico Rosberg and GPs behind Meta, Revolut, Spotify and Uber.
We're building a fully integrated energy company: developing our own solar, batteries and other generation projects, building our own hardware, improving and developing grid infrastructure, trading power in real time, and installing distributed energy in homes.
By selling directly to consumers, we cut out the middleman, lower costs and pass the savings on to our customers.
We’re hiring a Network Engineer to own and improve the networks, infrastructure and workplace technology that keep Fuse operating at full speed.
We move quickly, operate business-critical systems and cannot afford unreliable networks, fragile infrastructure or slow incident response.
You’ll work with a high degree of autonomy, solving problems end to end across our offices, networks and internal systems.
Responsibilities Provide advanced 2nd/3rd-line IT and infrastructure support across Fuse’s offices, acting as the escalation point for complex issues.

Design, administer, secure and improve LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewall and internet connectivity, including Cisco networking infrastructure and Forti Gate firewalls.
Own office hardware, workplace technology and on-site infrastructure, including small build/server environments.
Improve onboarding, offboarding, device management, identity and access management.
Work with Engineering and Security on network segmentation, firewall policy, remote access and security hygiene.
Build monitoring, alerting and documentation to keep business-critical internal systems available and prevent repeat issues.
Requirements Strong hands-on troubleshooting experience across networks, Wi-Fi, firewalls, endpoints, hardware and workplace technology.
Practical experience administering Cisco LAN/WAN environments and Forti Gate firewalls.
Experience providing 2nd/3rd-line IT support and running reliable office or corporate networks, ideally across multiple sites.
Comfortable owning infrastructure end to end, including connectivity, hardware, monitoring and vendors.
Solid Linux and Windows administration fundamentals.
Clear communication and a calm, pragmatic approach when supporting people during incidents.
