We are looking for a highly motivated Quantitative Finance Analyst to join our growing Finance team in London. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of projects. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in shaping Fuse Energy’s Finance function.
Key Responsibilities- Design and build the best finance systems in the world: after testing all market options, we aim to develop a top-tier finance management platform with select partners. The scope includes invoice ingestion, processing, automated reconciliation, and real-time P&L views by customer, tackling complex problems along the way.
- Financial Reporting Support: Assist with monthly reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash-flow), ensuring accurate information and key review points. Take ownership of balance sheet accounts and reconciliations.
- Account Preparation and Tax: Identify reporting deadlines for UK and international entities, ensuring timely submission of accounts and tax returns.
- Other Responsibilities: Support contract negotiations, financial modelling, analysis of new business opportunities, investor relations, funding deliverables, and process definition as needed.
- Experience with SQL, Python, Xero (or similar accounting software), and Microsoft Office is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field is mandatory; an advanced degree or professional qualification (e.g., ACA, CA, CFA) is a plus.
- At least 1 year of experience in a corporate finance, consulting, or investment banking environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience in renewable energy or infrastructure sectors is advantageous but not required.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP.
