Fuse Energy is at the forefront of the energy transition, as a vertically integrated renewable energy supplier. We own and operate renewable generation sites while delivering energy solutions to retail customers across England, Scotland, and Wales. Our mission is to accelerate the shift to a sustainable future and build a Terawatt of renewable energy along the way.

We are looking for a highly motivated Quantitative Finance Analyst to join our growing Finance team in London. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of projects. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in shaping Fuse Energy’s Finance function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build the best finance systems in the world: after testing all market options, we aim to develop a top-tier finance management platform with select partners. The scope includes invoice ingestion, processing, automated reconciliation, and real-time P&L views by customer, tackling complex problems along the way.
  • Financial Reporting Support: Assist with monthly reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash-flow), ensuring accurate information and key review points. Take ownership of balance sheet accounts and reconciliations.
  • Account Preparation and Tax: Identify reporting deadlines for UK and international entities, ensuring timely submission of accounts and tax returns.
  • Other Responsibilities: Support contract negotiations, financial modelling, analysis of new business opportunities, investor relations, funding deliverables, and process definition as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience with SQL, Python, Xero (or similar accounting software), and Microsoft Office is essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field is mandatory; an advanced degree or professional qualification (e.g., ACA, CA, CFA) is a plus.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a corporate finance, consulting, or investment banking environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience in renewable energy or infrastructure sectors is advantageous but not required.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP.
