Furze Platt, a well-resourced mixed comprehensive school in Maidenhead, is seeking a male Teacher of Physical Education. The successful candidate will be a consistently good to outstanding practitioner capable of teaching PE up to KS4 and KS5, and will embrace the value and contribution of sport and exercise to student enrichment and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver KS4 & KS5 PE lessons and develop a high-quality curriculum.
  • Lead and support extracurricular sport and activity programmes.
  • Model positive behaviour and leadership, inspiring similar qualities in students.
  • Possibly drive the school minibus (willingness desirable).
  • Support early career teachers (ECTs) within the Teach Maidenhead partnership where applicable.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Qualified teacher eligible to teach at KS4 & KS5.
  • Strong, consistent teaching practice, good to outstanding.
  • Experience or enthusiasm for sports, coaching, and extracurricular provision.
  • Ability to work with pupils of all abilities.
  • Willingness to drive the school minibus if required.
  • Early-career teachers may start in July.
