In this role, you will lead the 3D creative development for motorsport events and experiential activations. You will be expected to translate the brand’s identity into spatial environments that are functional, technically sound and visually compelling. Your work will involve balancing creativity with consistency, ensuring every design decision reinforces the brand while also delivering engaging and memorable experiences for its audience.
You will require a proven track record in event design and execution, and the expertise of understanding a global brand. You will need to understand how a brand’s visual personality is built, from its heritage and core values through to its design system, tone of voice and market positioning. This means being able to interpret and apply brand guidelines with accuracy, but also knowing how to adapt and expand them so they remain relevant, distinctive and impactful in different contexts.
Responsibilities
- Design exceptional brand activations and experiential spaces that balance creativity with brand guidelines, taking a project from concept through to delivery and owning all aspects of the creative process.
- Develop concept sketches, 3D models, and photorealistic renders that communicate ideas clearly.
- Produce detailed and to-scale dimensioned colour floorplan, elevations and detail design drawings for Production Teams and external suppliers.
- Ensure all designs are both the creative vision and the brand rationale, gathering feedback and learning client preferences throughout the process.
- Collaborate across disciplines, including digital, motion and AV teams, to deliver integrated brand experiences.
- Recognise and suggest creative opportunities and moments of elevation in design and creative output.
- Support junior designers, providing feedback and guidance to elevate the overall creative output.
- Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining design quality and meeting deadlines.
- Work collaboratively with Account and Production teams to ensure creative solutions are feasible and aligned with project timelines and budgets.
- Build strong client relationships, presenting concepts internally and to client stakeholders articulating.
- Attend event delivery on site to oversee production delivery to creative standards.
- Embed sustainable design thinking, considering materials, modularity, and reuse opportunities in all concepts.
- Contribute to new business development through creative input in pitches and proposals, supporting Creative Directors in generating creative strategies.
- Ensure creative solutions are commercially viable, aligning with project budgets and value engineering requirements.
Skills and Experience
- Degree in 3D Design, Spatial Design, Interior Architecture, or similar discipline.
- Proven experience in exhibition or experiential design, ideally working with consumer brands.
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative excellence in 3D brand experiences and exhibition environments.
- Proficiency in 3D software (e.g., 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, SketchUp, Rhino) and rendering tools (e.g., V-Ray, KeyShot).
- Deep understanding of brand guidelines.
- Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, being able to articulate your creative approach both internally and externally.
- Knowledge of materials and fabrication methods, and technical production possibilities.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Must be adaptable to a fast changing client environment.
- Experience with Adobe Creative suite and Unreal Engine / Unity would be an advantage.
