Furthr is a leading sustainability consultancy and tech platform committed to helping businesses reduce their environmental impact and transition to more sustainable practices. We specialise in providing comprehensive solutions for measuring and managing carbon footprints in line with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and ISO standards, as well as delivering practical decarbonisation plans for forward-thinking teams. We also support individuals to reduce their own carbon footprint through the Furthr platform.

Since our inception, we’ve funded high-impact reforestation and carbon removal projects, driven measurable decarbonisation for hundreds of businesses, and helped remove hundreds of thousands of tonnes of CO₂ from the atmosphere. Our client base is growing fast across the UK, Europe, and beyond — and we’re now looking to strengthen our marketing capacity.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a creative Marketing & Content Delivery Lead (freelancer or part-time) to help us scale our content output, generate leads, and grow our digital presence. You’ll be responsible for crafting compelling marketing content, planning and executing campaigns, managing ad performance, and keeping the sales team’s diary full.

This role blends content creation with growth execution. You’ll be expected to bring original ideas to the table, own the marketing calendar, and be accountable for results.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation :

  • Lead the end-to-end process of ideation, writing, and design for all content. You should be comfortable generating original content ideas, crafting the copy, and designing accompanying visuals (using Canva or similar).

Campaign & Content Planning :

  • Develop and own the schedule for content across social media, newsletters, blog posts, email sequences, and events — ensuring consistent messaging that drives interest and conversion.

Social Media Management :

  • Manage Furthr’s social media presence on a daily basis — posting content, responding to engagement, interacting with other accounts, and spotting opportunities to be part of trending conversations.
  • Liaise directly with clients to develop co-branded or partnership content (e.g. joint announcements, shared impact stories, spotlight pieces).

Lead Generation Support :

  • Set and report on performance targets — particularly in terms of booked sales calls or leads delivered to the team. Use content and campaigns to support the sales funnel.

Digital Advertising :

  • Plan and manage paid campaigns on platforms like Google Ads and LinkedIn. Optimise targeting, creative, and spend to ensure qualified leads and brand visibility.

Performance Reporting :

  • Track campaign metrics (reach, engagement, conversion) and provide regular updates on progress toward agreed goals.

Trend Monitoring & Idea Generation :

  • Follow social media trends, emerging sustainability narratives, and competitor activity. Constantly generate fresh ideas that feel timely, distinctive, and aligned with our brand.

What We’re Looking For

  • Excellent written and visual communication skills
  • Experience building and growing presence on platforms like LinkedIn
  • Confidence using design tools like Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience (or ability to upskill quickly) in technical or complex topics like carbon accounting, offset markets, and technical sustainability frameworks (GHGP, SBTi, VCMI, ISO 14064, etc.) — an ESG or journalistic background is a big plus
  • Ability to set performance goals, report on metrics, and drive measurable results
  • Comfortable engaging with clients and partners to create shared content
  • Self-starter mindset — takes ownership and thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with HubSpot, Cognism, Sendgrid, or email marketing tools
  • Familiarity with B2B sales or outbound marketing workflows
  • Experience in video, motion design, or interactive content

Compensation

£30,000 per annum (FTE), pro rata for part-time roles
