Position Summary
We’re FurtherTravel and we exist to provide once in a lifetime travel experiences. We are home to many popular brands in the industry, such as Camp Thailand, Camp Bali, Camp South Africa, AmeriCamp and many more. We are an innovative company looking to grow our current offerings.
We're seeking a motivated Operations Coordinator, with superb attention to detail to expertly deliver all operational support to our customers. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about communication, who will prioritise a smooth customer journey for our adventurers, from sign up, departure and return, with a focus on high customer service.
As the Operations Coordinator, you will work closely with the Operations Manager, providing operational insight and updates. You will build rapport with our customers with ease, but will also do the same with our suppliers, and will touch base with them too, as required. You will work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure the collection of customer monies. This Operations Coordinator will also assist with the processing of supplier invoices and checking them against the backend system.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reporting to your line manager regarding pax numbers, passenger documentation, merchandise, customer payments etc. ensuring set deadlines are met.
- Providing operations reports
- Assisting with workflow and form creation.
- Communicating with partners and suppliers
- Using a CRM system to ensure pax numbers are constantly updated and accurate
- Chasing customer payments and payment plans to ensure monies are collected
- Ensuring we meet deadlines relating to all customers having the relevant documents before travel and that they are 100% 'trip-ready'.
- Effectively implement company terms and conditions regarding cancellations, refunds and payments.
- Providing excellent communication with all customers across all touch points, via telephone, email, WhatsApp etc
- Achieving a high customer feedback rating regarding all pre-trip comms and management
Extensive training will be provided on the above tasks, however it is MANDATORY that all candidates for this role have had prior experience and expertise in an admin/operations/logistical position. Experience working within the travel industry is a sought after bonus.
Additional Responsibilities:
- National travel as required
- Attendance at company-wide events/ fairs
Required Experience:
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- A systematic and methodical mindset to manage spreadsheets and CRMs.
- Ability to remain organised and handle multiple tasks at once.
- Excellent IT skills – Excel, Word. Prior CRM experience is highly preferred.
- Be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
