The predicted salary is between 17717 - 18920 £ per year.

Salary: £17,717 rising to £18,920 (pro rata of £26,891 rising to £28,718).

Located on the edge of the Lake District National Park, Furness College is a vibrant, innovative and fast-paced FE College, benefiting from strong partnerships with local employers and universities. We offer an extensive range of courses with a particular emphasis on technical learning, apprenticeships and Higher Education, in addition to the broadest A’ level offer in Cumbria.

We are currently seeking a part time Personal Progress Coach (PPC) to join our pastoral support team. The role involves monitoring student progress including attendance, retention, achievement and behaviour/discipline for a specified cohort of learners. The PPC also has responsibility for the support and safeguarding of learners, liaising with parents, external agencies and curriculum staff to maximise student success. Excellent communication, team working and organisational skills are required along with the ability to provide both support and challenge. The successful candidates will also have experience of safeguarding and providing information, advice and guidance (IAG) relating to progression opportunities including supporting students with university applications, higher apprenticeships and other opportunities.

Training for this role will take place around week commencing the 25th of August with a view to start in the department on the 1st of September.

Hours: 27.75 hours per week (39 working weeks)

Tenure: Maternity cover (Up to one year)
