An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Branch Network. The Society is looking to appoint a full time Direct Distribution Branch Manager at our Poulton Branch. We are looking for a self-driven leader that is passionate about developing, inspiring and leading people to deliver service excellence. In this role you will support the Society’s Direct Distribution Strategy in delivering Branch objectives through proactively generating leads for new business. As a Direct Distribution Branch Manager you will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong external business relationships, within the community.
Responsibilities
- Effectively identify, assess and mitigate risks in line with the Society’s risk management framework and regulatory expectations.
- Seize opportunities to achieve and exceed your agreed objectives, playing your part in the Society’s Our 9 objectives and strategic plan.
- Ensure good member outcomes through the consistent application of the concepts of Consumer Duty.
- Follow the Society’s Complaints Procedure to deal with member complaints, providing summary resolutions and escalating where appropriate.
- Ensure that the Direct Distribution Branch Manager controls are carried out in line with the Control Manual and have overall responsibility for the Branch QA Checks.
- Develop external relationships, new partnerships and new business opportunities in your community to grow the society’s presence.
- Ensure all People HR records are up to date, including sickness, annual leave, and performance reviews.
- Develop the team to foster a culture of accountability, member service excellence and ongoing growth.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English at grade C/4 or above.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently, making informed decisions based on your experience and skills.
- Attention to detail and a ‘right first time’ approach.
- Sound knowledge of market opportunities and a clear focus on achieving growth objectives.
- A qualification in Leadership, Management or further education is desirable.
