Overview

Aquatics Lead role for Brio Ellesmere Port and Brio Neston. The position can be full-time (37 hours per week across two sites) or divided into two part-time roles (18.5 hours per week at each site).

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: 37 hours per week will be £25,989 per annum; 18.5 hours per week at each site will be £12,994 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for an Aquatics Lead to manage the day-to-day operation of the aquatics scheme, including Swim England swimming lessons, across Brio Ellesmere Port and Brio Neston, or as two part-time roles across the sites.

Brio Leisure centres are community hubs for fitness and wellbeing. You will oversee aquatics, including swimming lessons, and plan, programme and review sessions to attract a range of abilities and maximise income from lessons and aqua classes.

You will be qualified to Swim England Level 2 to deliver high-quality swimming lessons to the community.

Job Purpose

To work with the Aquatics Officer to coordinate the day-to-day operation and delivery of Brio’s Learn 2 Swim Scheme and School Swimming Programme. To assist in maximising income by providing dedicated swimming teaching hours and to provide a high level of customer service consistent throughout the company.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and administer the school swimming programme.
  • Communicate effectively with children and adults, delivering messages constructively and positively.
  • Assist the Aquatics Officer in monitoring classes and waiting lists to adjust numbers or stage levels to meet demand and ensure consistent management of Learn 2 Swim.
  • Assist in resourcing the school and Learn 2 Swim programme in line with industry and company guidelines.
  • Deliver 7 hours of swimming teaching per week across both sites as part of the 37-hour contract, or 3.5 hours per week as part of the 18.5-hour contract; days and times to be agreed with the Aquatics Officer.
  • Assist with swimming administration and ensure Swim England initiatives and guidelines are adhered to.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels for swimming lesson delivery and upload to the in-house time management system.
  • Input information onto in-house systems to provide reports for parents and children.
  • Update social media as needed for Learn 2 Swim changes and attend outreach events to promote aquatics.
  • Deliver outreach work to local community groups to enhance the profile of Brio aquatics.
  • Communicate with customers verbally and in writing (email/letter).
  • Adhere to all company safeguarding practices and processes at all times.
  • Carry out other duties as required within the scope of the post.
