A rare opportunity to take the reins of a beautifully refurbished village pub and help create one of the area's most exciting hospitality destinations. The Plough Inn is currently undergoing a transformational refurbishment with an investment of over £500,000, including a brand-new kitchen and a complete redevelopment of the entire site. With opening approximately 10 weeks away, we are searching for a passionate hospitality leader, or couple, to help launch and grow this exciting business from the beginning. The Plough Inn is part of Furious Pub Company, a small but ambitious and passionate pub company focused on creating pubs with real personality, quality food and drink, and community spirit. We are growing, and we want great people to grow with us! The Plough Inn will be a village pub that truly packs a punch, combining high-quality food, great local ales, craft keg, local wines and spirits, and warm, memorable hospitality in a busy, vibrant environment. The Opportunity
We are open-minded about background and experience because we know great operators come from different sides of hospitality. You may currently be:
- A strong Pub or General Manager
- A Head Chef with leadership experience and a passion for the front of house
- A Bar Manager who loves food and understands kitchen operations

The Role
You will lead the overall operation of the pub supported strongly by the operations manager and be instrumental in building both the culture and reputation of the business. Responsibilities will include:
- Leading and inspiring the team across front and back of house
- Delivering exceptional customer service standards
- Overseeing daily pub and kitchen operations
- Driving sales, standards, and profitability
- Recruiting, training, and developing staff
- Creating a welcoming and energetic atmosphere
- Managing stock, rotas, labour, and service standards
- Building strong local community relationships
- Helping shape events, promotions, and future growth
This will be a busy, fast-paced operation that requires energy, personality, and a hands-on approach.
