The Red Lion is a well-known Amblecote community pub with a loyal following, a lively late-night atmosphere and plenty of potential for its next chapter. We're looking for an ambitious General Manager to build on what already works, grow our food offer, bring fresh ideas to events and help drive the business forward. We're Furious Pub Company: an independent, growing business that gives managers real responsibility and the freedom to make a difference. We also believe great pubs shouldn't depend on managers working 60–70-hour weeks. We value strong teams, smart planning and a genuine work-life balance. · Lead the day-to-day running and overall performance of a busy, wet-led community pub. · Own the P&L and manage sales, stock, labour, margins and profitability. · Develop the food offer, events and promotions to grow sales and attract customers. · Recruit, lead and develop a team of around 12, supported by an Assistant Manager. · Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, compliance and customer experience. · Bring ideas and take an active role in shaping the pub's future, including a planned refurbishment. · Hold a Personal Licence and act as the Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS). We're looking for someone who is: · Experienced in pubs or hospitality, ideally as a General Manager. Exceptional Deputies or Assistant Managers ready to step up are welcome. · Commercially minded, confident with numbers and able to take ownership of a P&L. · A strong team leader who can recruit, motivate and develop people. · Full of ideas for food, events and new ways to grow the business. · Proud of their pub, passionate about customers and committed to maintaining its community character. · Proactive, energetic and comfortable in a busy, fast-paced environment. · A current Personal Licence holder, willing to be the pub's DPS. · Salary open to discussion, depending on experience. · Excellent profit-share opportunity, rewarding you for the success you help create. · Real autonomy, support and the opportunity to grow with an ambitious independent pub company.
