The Sales Executive is responsible for supporting the growth and execution of Funrise’s sales strategy across an important portfolio of retail accounts. The Sales Executive will report directly to the Senior National Account Manager. In this role, the Sales Executive will manage key customer relationships, drive sales targets, and ensure operational follow‑through at an account and channel level where applicable. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented, commercially minded individual who enjoys rolling up their sleeves to handle both customer‑facing sales responsibilities and internal processes. Success in this position comes from being highly responsive, organized, and execution‑focused, with a willingness to work cross‑functionally across time zones and business cultures.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow assigned key accounts and distribution partners across the UK/Ireland to achieve regional sales and profit targets.
- Execute strategic sales plans defined with the Senior National Account Manager, including product placement, promotional planning, and channel expansion.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, manage order cycles, and track performance against targets.
- Support all administrative processes including internal reporting, customer setups, order tracking for own account portfolio, delivery updates, and pricing maintenance.
- Partner closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure timely fulfillment of goods being sold.
- Collaborate with marketing to execute brand activations, trade promotions, and other retail sales initiatives.
- Manage inventory and demand planning to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess.
- Liaise with finance on credit terms, invoice management, and payment follow‑up in relation to own portfolio.
- Prepare sales presentations and conduct seasonal line reviews with retail buyers.
- Assist in managing distributor performance (where/if applicable) through regular business reviews and KPI tracking.
- Monitor competitive activity, pricing trends, and customer insights to inform account‑level strategy.
- Support trade show participation and regional customer meetings, ensuring follow‑up actions are executed.
- Uphold clear communication between the local UK team and global functions to ensure alignment on product, pricing, and promotional activities.
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed and accommodate varying time zones and business demands outside standard office hours.
Requirements
- 2‑3+ years in retail account management or sales, ideally within toys, FMCG, or consumer products.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with a customer‑first mindset.
- Confident managing hands‑on operational tasks while balancing multiple accounts and systems.
- Fluent in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint); ERP/CRM systems experience preferred.
- Analytical with the ability to interpret and present sales data effectively.
- Highly organized, responsive, and detail‑oriented; thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
- Self‑starter with a team player mindset and eagerness to grow in a commercial leadership track.
