As a Counter Clerk in one of our Post Office Stores, you’ll provide exceptional customer service to connect people across miles and time, to organise travel money and documents, and to take care of bills and banking. Position Details:

  • Temporary to permanent basis, with occasional overtime.
  • Contracted hours are 8 hours per week (2 x 4-hour shifts), with a minimum availability of 16 hours (2 full days, 09:00-17:30).
  • Saturday availability is required and shifts are worked as needed.
  • Overtime is regularly available during holiday weeks, up to 30 hours per week.
  • If willing to travel to other stores (e.g., Congleton, Macclesfield), additional hours and paid travel expenses can be discussed during the interview.
  • Must remain calm in high-pressure environments, especially as the role involves handling passport applications, driving licenses, and banking services for local businesses, requiring great attention to detail and counting skills.
