Funky Dory is a vibrant music events and hospitality brand known for creating unforgettable experiences — from large-scale outdoor festivals to intimate community brunches and supper clubs. We're looking for a bold, tenacious Marketing & Events Coordinator who thrives in fast-paced environments, takes ownership, and loves building audiences as much as bringing events to life. You'll be the engine behind our marketing presence and a key organiser across our busy calendar.
What You'll Do
- Support with the coordination of all our events from brunches, supper clubs, festivals and shindigs from concept through to on-site delivery
- Manage and grow our recurring brunches and supper club series, working with venues, sponsors, and partners
- Support with the delivery of our marketing plans from creating and developing new campaign ideas, managing timelines and meeting deadlines
- Create and manage our partnerships with businesses, to support marketing and PR activity
- Liaise with the social media team to manage content schedules, support community engagement, and develop content that reflects our brand voice
- Write, build and send engaging email campaigns via Mailchimp, including segmented lists, automations, and post-event follow-ups
- Track campaign performance and event metrics, reporting on what's working and what to do differently
- Maintain and update the Funky Dory website on WordPress — publishing content, updating event pages, and keeping things fresh
- Work alongside the CEO and Event Manager to support the coordination with vendors, sponsors, and partners — chasing confirmations, contracts, and logistics without letting anything slip
- Support on-the-ground at events and love every minute of it
You Are
- Confident and proactive — you pitch ideas, back yourself, and speak up
- Tenacious — you follow up, follow through, and don't drop the ball
- A natural communicator with warmth and professionalism
- Highly organized and able to thrive under pressure with multiple projects on the go
- Thorough, organised, and detail-oriented yet able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good at copywriting for social media, newsletters and general marketing to match our brand tone of voice (using AI as a tool, not a replacement)
- Creative with a sharp eye for what looks good and what lands
- A team player who can also work independently
Bonus Points
- Experience in events, hospitality, food, or festival environments
- Photography or short-form video skills
- Graphic design basics (Canva, Adobe)
- Existing local community or press contacts
- Passion for music or community events
