Role Purpose
The Marketing Manager Distributors is a key role in delivering impactful brand activations across a diverse product portfolio spanning grocery, retail, and e-retail channels throughout the EMEA region. You will own distributor relationships and processes, ensuring the Funko brand is consistently represented, elevated, and executed to the highest standard across these emerging markets. This role works closely with the Marketing team to contribute to the implementation of brand, channel, and customer strategies. It collaborates across the organisation with various commercial and non-commercial teams to help achieve desired business results, in particular working hand-in-hand with the dedicated sales managers based in those regions.
What You’ll Do:
- Managing the strategy and implementation of retail marketing activity EMEA for the distributor accounts in Benelux, Nordics, MENA, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, South Africa. This includes the planning and execution of in-store visibility POS, online merchandising, and trade marketing initiatives to strengthen Funko EMEA presence and reinforce our unique brand proposition.
- Collaborate and manage relationships with our key distributor partners, reviewing and approving in-region marketing plans, licensors and retailer activations, whilst ensuring commercial success and executed within budget.
- Lead on marketing activities for priority brands such as Bitty Pop!, Loungefly, Mondo, and new launches to drive brand awareness, share of voice, and ultimately sales in your region.
- Collaborate with Licensors: Supporting new product launches, special events, and collaborative initiatives. Leading and coordinating joint plans for key theatrical, gaming, streaming, and AAA content releases. Ensuring marketing activations are driven by commercial decisions based on clear insight, evaluation, and analysis.
- Collaborate with Retailers: Supporting the creation of bespoke POS designs, online assets, and in-store events. Ensuring marketing activations are driven by commercial decisions based on clear insight, evaluation, and analysis.
- Take ownership of the allocated marketing budget for your region, making commercial decisions based on clear insight, evaluation, and campaign analysis.
- Work closely with the Sales team/Account Managers to deliver against key strategic growth categories, new product launches, and sales targets with key retail partners through the creation and implementation of a strategic 12-month marketing plan.
- Manage priorities within tight budgets and timelines while ensuring excellence in customer service from end to end.
- Effectively and efficiently deliver multiple projects (focusing on priorities) to ensure we meet — and strive to exceed — sales expectations.
- Meticulously analyse and measure the success of campaigns, reviewing spend vs. sales and applying insights to future projects.
- Coordinate and work closely with the Product and Marketing teams to obtain the required assets to execute marketing plans specific to local requirements.
- Work alongside the Digital Marketing Manager to ensure media campaigns are relevant, timely, and drive sales to support key product categories and retail partners in your region.
- Support the PR Manager with key market insights to help drive trade and consumer coverage (e.g., sharing contacts and building a database).
- Ensure branding guidelines are adhered to across Funko, both internally and externally.
- Always demonstrate commercial awareness and handle customer interactions with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Support and attend key trade and consumer shows in the relevant regions.
- Assist with ad-hoc administrative tasks, such as PO generation, store visits, photoshoots, creative brainstorms and market research.
- Liaise with the Samples team for stock allocations towards marketing campaigns and ensure timely delivery.
What You’ll Bring:
- Spoken and written fluency in English is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in Marketing in an EMEA capacity.
- Demonstrates excellent commercial awareness with a real passion for growing the brand and bringing results.
- Effective multi-tasker with excellent prioritisation skills; able to create, drive and execute initiatives to tight deadlines.
- A clear communicator with excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Excellent collaborator ensuring strong professional relationships are developed and nurtured with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with a personable and flexible approach.
- Self-motivated, proactive and embraces an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Knowledge of MS Office and other relevant programmes such as Illustrator is desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail, always mindful of brand reputation when delivering work.
- Understanding or interest in pop culture is a must!
