Responsibilities:
- Lender Relationship Management: Own and develop FundOnion's panel of Invoice Finance and Trade Finance specialist lenders, building deep relationships with underwriters and BDMs. Maintain a live picture of each lender's credit appetite, sector preferences, concentration limits, and speed-to-offer. Negotiate indicative and formal terms on live deals, ensuring we consistently secure competitive structures for clients. Attend lender events and market briefings to stay ahead of appetite shifts and new product launches.
- Deal Structuring: Review incoming opportunities from Deal Teams and assess fit against the lender panel before a case goes live. Structure Invoice Finance and Trade Finance submissions - facility type, advance rate, tenure, security, pricing - to maximise approval probability. Identify the right lender(s) for each case and manage the submission process end-to-end. Hand clean, fully packaged cases into the Operations team with clear lender guidance and next steps.
- Market Intelligence: Write a weekly desk note briefing Deal Teams on market conditions: appetite changes, rate movements, sector risks, and lender news. Build and maintain an internal lender matrix - a living document tracking each funder's criteria, contacts, SLAs, and recent decisions. Flag emerging trends (e.g. sector-specific restrictions, new challengers entering the market) and translate them into deal strategy.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with the Deals team to upskill the desk on Invoice Finance & Trade Finance lender nuances. Partner with leadership on panel development - identifying gaps in coverage and recommending new lender additions. Contribute to process improvements that reduce deal turnaround time and increase quote conversion.
What you’ll need to succeed:

Presentable, analytically minded, and comfortable with financial concepts - with a genuine interest in finance, the ability to build lasting relationships, and a hunger to keep learning. A background in customer success, account management, or relationship management. Demonstrable ability to manage multiple lender or client relationships simultaneously, with strong follow-through. Strong written communication skills; able to produce clear, concise briefings and structured deal packs. Commercially minded with a consultative approach.
- Desirable: Prior experience with Invoice Finance and Trade Finance. Background in Wealth Management and/or Investment Banking/Consulting. Existing relationships with Invoice Finance & Trade Finance funders active in the UK SME market.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive base salary.

- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
