Purpose of the role: Fundment is seeking a Compliance Analyst (AML/KYC) to support the Compliance team, with a primary focus on AML and KYC oversight. This role is critical in ensuring that client due diligence and ongoing monitoring obligations are met in line with FCA expectations, while supporting the firm’s continued growth. The successful candidate will initially focus on KYC file reviews and AML monitoring, with the opportunity over time to develop into broader areas of compliance, including thematic reviews, regulatory change, and second-line assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- AML / KYC Oversight
- Conduct regular KYC and CDD file reviews across the adviser-led platform and DFM business.
- Review client onboarding documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
- Perform ongoing monitoring checks, including periodic reviews and trigger events.
- Identify, document, and elevate AML/KYC issues, breaches, or weaknesses in a timely manner.
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of AML/KYC policies, procedures, and controls.
- Assist with responses to AML-related queries from the business.
- Compliance Monitoring Support
- Support the Compliance team with elements of the compliance monitoring plan.
- Assist with data gathering, testing, and documentation for monitoring reviews.
- Help prepare management information and reporting for senior management and committees.
- Maintain accurate compliance records and evidence logs.
Minimum Requirements:
- 12 months’ experience in a compliance, AML, or KYC role within financial services.
- Experience within an investment firm, platform, DFM, or advisory environment.
- Practical experience conducting KYC/CDD reviews.
- Good understanding of UK AML regulations and FCA expectations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes consistently.
- Ability to identify risks and escalate issues appropriately.
- Well-organised with the ability to manage routine reviews effectively.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with ongoing monitoring and periodic review processes.
- Progress towards, or interest in, a professional compliance qualification (e.g. ICA).
- Exposure to a broad compliance function within a regulated investment firm.
- Structured development into wider compliance responsibilities.
