We’re on a mission to back the UK’s small businesses like no one else. Small businesses are the backbone of the economy, and we’re here to help them win. We’ve built a platform that uses clever data to get them the funding they need in minutes, not weeks. At Funding Circle, we have the restless energy of a fintech start-up with the stability of a public company. It’s a unique mix that gives Circlers the autonomy to take ownership and the scale to make an impact that truly counts. We’re a high-performing team that chooses to lift each other up. We challenge, we champion, and we have each other’s backs - because we know that when we stand together, we move faster and build better. The impact is real: Last year alone, the businesses on our platform generated £7.2bn for the UK economy.
The role is based in London (Hybrid) with 3 days in the office and offers a competitive salary plus benefits. You’ll be a key member of our Growth team, responsible for helping more small businesses access Funding Circle's products and getting them activated, engaged, and transacting. You will own the cross-sell strategy to Funding Circle’s existing customer base and drive the activation stage of the funnel across both FlexiPay and our Credit Card; the critical moment where a sign-up becomes an active customer. Success in this role looks like step-changes in new account volumes, activation rate, time-to-first-transaction, and early customer value across both products.
Reporting directly to the Strategy, Product and Growth Director, you will collaborate with the Marketing, Sales, Product and Technology teams to drive commercial growth across our FlexiPay and Credit Card products. Responsibilities include:
- Enabling growth from Funding Circle’s existing customer base by developing cross-sell strategies and driving product adoption when customers open a FlexiPay or Credit Card account.
- Owning the implementation of GTM strategies, working with teams from across Funding Circle to ensure successful delivery and ultimately support the growth of our new products.
- Analysing the performance of sales and marketing campaigns and using learnings to drive continuous improvements in our growth activity.
- Taking ownership of redesigning departmental workflows, using AI to automate complex tasks and drive operational efficiency.
- Identifying high-impact AI use cases and implementing advanced prompting techniques to solve multi-layered business challenges.
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years’ experience in commercial and strategic roles in fast-paced environments.
- Proven ability of taking ownership and successfully leading complex projects involving a broad range of stakeholders, from ideation to implementation.
- Driven, ‘can do’ attitude, able to find creative and pragmatic solutions to get things done.
- Natural curiosity and will to make an impact.
- Balanced judgement, excellent strategic thinking, quantitative skills and logical reasoning.
- Passionate about Funding Circle’s mission and values – agile, collaborative and creative.
We’re building a place where everyone truly feels they belong. Even if your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every requirement, we'd still love to hear from you.
