About Funding London (www.fundinglondon.co.uk) Funding London’s core objective is to support the economic development strategy for London through our fund structuring and investment activities. We closely work with Mayoral administrations to deliver specific economic development objectives through structuring equity funds and executing investments in early stage and high growth businesses. Since 2010, Funding London has transformed from a special purpose vehicle into an investment organisation successfully managing c. £50m of investments. The next phase of our strategy is to more than double the scope of our activities. Raising awareness of Funding London and its activities as well as its individual funds is an integral part of our short-term strategy to achieve our desired expansion.
We are looking for an experienced Marketing Executive to develop, implement, track and optimise our marketing campaigns across all channels, including our digital channels. You should have a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies and be able to lead marketing campaigns from concept to execution.
The Role
- Continue to raise Funding London’s profile through website, social media, press releases/newsletters and GLA press.
- Highlight the achievement of the London Co-investment Fund through the creation and management of news flow in relation to the fund, the portfolio companies and their respective achievements.
- Ensure that LCIF and Funding London are a valuable partner to our portfolio companies and co-investment partners through the careful planning and execution of portfolio events.
- Maintain FL’s profile as an active participant of the early stage ecosystem through the management of our online publication: Thrive (www.thrive.london).
- Co-ordinating all aspects of periodic and ad hoc communications for Funding London, the London Co-investment Fund and our new Fund of Funds.
Qualifications Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Chief Executive, and the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Plan and execute all digital marketing, marketing database, email, marketing campaigns.
- Maintain and grow our social media presence.
- Measure and report performance of all (including digital) marketing campaigns, and assess against identified goals.
- Identify trends and insights for Funding London to be involved in.
- Maintenance of our contacts lists.
- Responsibility for our monthly newsletter.
- Support our GDPR project.
- Manage and maintain the pace of monthly Thrive content by engaging, communicating with and managing contributors. Growing contributor base to expand reach.
- Coordinating all aspects of the process, and ensuring Thrive website is kept dynamic and up to date.
- Growing our current readership and developing ideas to ensure Thrive remains engaging.
- Promotion/Marketing of our successful programme of Workshops and annual LCIF Conference; identifying/helping to secure possible sponsors/venues.
- Improve attendance at events by email/social media/marketing campaigns.
- Provide PP presentations for all events.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with the following partners and their marketing teams: BVCA, Scaleup Institute, London & Partners, GLA (Greater London Authority), plus other relevant bodies.
- Management of the Funding London website.
- Increase dynamic content throughout website.
- Update the front-page newsfeed.
- Add dynamic content to various pages such as new items, success stories.
- Regularly update data on our Fund activity.
- Update LCIF website with our new partners and investments.
Additional Information Candidate Requirements
- The ideal candidate will be degree-qualified and have a minimum of two years' working experience.
- Essential skills:
- Experience in a marketing and communications role.
- Experience of digital marketing, including all social media.
- Experience of relationship building.
- Highly creative with experience in devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
- Excellent numeracy and communications skills.
- Experience with working in Excel, Word and Power Point.
