We’re on a mission to back the UK’s small businesses like no one else. Small businesses are the backbone of the economy, and we’re here to help them win. We’ve built a platform that uses clever data to get them the funding they need in minutes, not weeks. At Funding Circle, we have the restless energy of a fintech start-up with the stability of a public company. It’s a unique mix that gives Circlers the autonomy to take ownership and the scale to make an impact that truly counts.

We’re a high-performing team that chooses to lift each other up. We challenge, we champion, and we have each other’s backs because we know that when we stand together, we move faster and build better. The impact is real: Last year alone, the businesses on our platform generated £7.2bn for the UK economy. Come and join a mission that matters.

The role is based in London (Hybrid) with 3 days in the office and offers a competitive salary plus benefits. You’ll make a real difference for our customers and your team from day one. We believe the fastest way to grow is by doing, so we give you the ownership to run with things and see real-time results.

We aim to continually innovate and deliver valuable assurance and advisory services across the Group. The IA team is now looking for a self-motivated Technology Audit Manager to continue building their assurance capabilities and impact.

In return, we will provide a progressive personal and professional growth environment, with multiple opportunities to take your soft and technical skills to the next level.

  • Deliver standalone and integrated IA reviews.
  • Agree and influence scope of Technology and integrated reviews with the Audit Director, FC’s leadership team, including C-Level executives, and co-source partners.
  • Perform detailed analysis to scope out key risks and controls to create design adequacy and operating effectiveness test strategies.
  • Execute and document the test outcomes.
  • Consolidate and articulate observations to senior stakeholders, prepare impactful reports, and agree follow-up audit actions in alignment with FC’s technology and operating environment.
  • Follow up on audit actions, ensuring progress and effective closure.
  • Build credible and trusted relationships with audit stakeholders across different seniority levels.
  • Work with the wider IA team, risk function and co-source partners to ensure we have the capability and capacity to deliver effective, timely and impactful audit opinion and insight.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience and good understanding of how AI is going to influence Technology controls and incorporate those in their audit approach.
  • Experience in the assessment of emerging Cyber threats and auditing of relevant controls.
  • Experience in different test strategies, including Data and Analytics, to test the design and operative effectiveness of controls related to technology change, operations, and IT General and Application controls.
  • Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Enthusiastic, passionate and creative in using expertise to help support assurance activities required to deliver on organisational priorities.
  • Able to proactively identify ways to use Generative AI to streamline your daily tasks and improve your personal productivity.
