The role: London (Hybrid) | 2 days in the office | Competitive Salary + Benefits
We are looking for an experienced React Native Engineer who wants to work on an exciting new product within an already successful financial company. You are comfortable operating in an environment of fast pace and uncertainty and thrive in solving hard problems within a cross-functional team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in building and scaling our Mobile App, empowering businesses to access flexible financing solutions. Your passion for technology and your ability to solve complex problems will be instrumental in driving our mission forward.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating as part of an agile cross functional team, as well as technology guilds
- Building great user experiences for customers
- Delivering innovation through software
- Implement business functionality, using React Native, for both iOS and Android
- Proactively problem solving, identifying and confidently mitigating any risks, issues or control weaknesses that arise in your day-to-day
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and team collaboration
- Mentor your colleagues
- Write unit, integration and end-to-end tests to ensure code is well tested
- QA features to find bugs, usability issues and performance concerns
Qualifications:
- Commercial experience with React.js, React Native and the associated ecosystem
- Strong mobile automated testing experience (unit, integration & end-to-end)
- Good JavaScript knowledge, ideally including TypeScript
- Experience with continuous delivery, build pipelines and app releases (both App Store and Play Store)
- Familiarity with mobile ecosystem tooling such as Firebase
- Familiarity with Gradle, XCode and other native build tools
- Ability to work with REST APIs and third-party services/libraries
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles
- Experience with code version control
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
