We are looking for a Sales Support Team Leader sitting within our Funnel Operations team. This role sits within Operations at Funding Circle and forms part of the customer focused Funnel Operations team within the Sales Support function. As a Sales Support Team Leader, you will lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Support Operations professionals, fostering a high‑performance culture focused on achieving exceptional customer service and driving a reduction in friction within the funnel within our dynamic Fintech environment. You will also be instrumental in driving continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements, championing best practices, and collaborating with internal teams.
What you will be doing:
- Driving high performing teams: Leading, mentoring, and motivating a team of Sales Support Operation Executives, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing environment.
- Collaborating closely with Sales teams to align support efforts with sales strategies and Loan Operations teams to optimise customer experience and process efficiency.
- Obsess over the customer: Embed a deep commitment to providing excellent customer experiences within the team's daily operations.
- Quality Assurance & Improvement: Monitor and analyse customer interactions (e.g., calls) and error rates to ensure adherence to quality standards, identify areas for improvement, and implement targeted coaching.
- Proactively problem solving, identifying and confidently mitigating any risks, issues or control weaknesses that arise in your day‑to‑day.
- Delivering change and operational efficiencies: Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the fast‑paced funnel environment, applying an understanding of change management principles to ensure successful implementation.
- Identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement within the sales support workflow and propose solutions.
What we’re looking for:
- Ideally 1-2 years prior Team Leadership or Sales Support Experience in a volume driven and KPI focussed environment with previous experience of working within the funnel on multiple products.
- Communicate confidently and effectively with internal teams.
- Thrive in a data driven, high volume KPI environment.
- You easily connect with people and demonstrate natural interpersonal skills – including teamwork!
- Quick to learn, understand, and explain complex concepts and products.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to ‘think smart’ and adapt quickly.
