GAIA, part of Fundamental Hospitality, is looking for an organized, detail‑driven Goods Receiver to join our renowned Mediterranean restaurant in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of an internationally recognised brand celebrated for excellence, precision, and world‑class experiences. As our Goods Receiver, you will play a key role in ensuring GAIA operates seamlessly every day. You will be responsible for professionally receiving, checking, recording, and coordinating all deliveries to maintain the highest standards of quality, freshness, and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

  • Checking all incoming goods against Local Purchase Orders to ensure correct quantity, quality, and pricing.
  • Conducting spot checks on packaged goods and verifying expiry dates.
  • Receiving fresh produce (fish, meat, poultry, vegetables) alongside the chef in charge to guarantee premium quality.
  • Recording temperatures for chilled and frozen items and logging all receiving details daily.
  • Ensuring alcohol deliveries are received with the Bar team.
  • Raising discrepancy reports and coordinating with suppliers and the Purchasing Officer when needed.
  • Managing dry store, chiller, and freezer inventories.
  • Supporting order placements in the absence of the Purchasing Officer.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Goods Receiver or in a similar back‑of‑house role within hospitality or high‑volume restaurants.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong organisation skills, and a methodical approach.
  • Ability to work closely with chefs, purchasing teams, and suppliers.
  • Understanding of food safety, temperature control, and storage standards.
  • A proactive, accountable, and reliable work ethic.
