We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Bar Supervisor to join the team at GAIA in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced luxury dining environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional beverage experiences while supporting the leadership and development of a high-performing bar team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality service at all times.
- Lead by example, motivating and supporting the bar team to maintain exceptional service standards while ensuring all beverages are prepared and presented in line with GAIA standards.
- Assist with training, coaching, and developing bar team members to enhance product knowledge, service skills, and operational excellence.
- Support the implementation of seasonal beverage menus and maintain excellent knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, and premium products.
- Maintain effective stock control, minimising wastage through accurate inventory management, stock rotation, and adherence to company procedures.
- Ensure the bar remains clean, organised, and fully compliant with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Support management in monitoring bar performance, sales, and operational standards, contributing to the achievement of financial and productivity targets.
- Work closely with the wider management team to ensure seamless communication across departments and consistently deliver a luxury guest experience.
ABOUT YOU
- Proven experience as a Bar Supervisor, Senior Bartender, Head Bartender, or in a similar role within a premium or luxury hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and current beverage trends.
- Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced bar operations.
- A hands-on leader with excellent communication, organisational, and team development skills.
- Good understanding of stock control, inventory management, and cost-conscious beverage operations.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining the highest hospitality standards.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to perform effectively under pressure.
- Experience within luxury restaurant concepts or high-end London venues is highly desirable.
