The Role
We are looking for an experienced professional to lead and support the delivery of Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems across NHS Trusts in the United Kingdom. The Program Manager will have strong experience in designing, building, and deploying EPR systems at scale, along with the ability to drive business change within hospital departments. This role provides an opportunity to shape how clinical teams access and use information, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes and improving operational efficiency across care settings. Working at the forefront of digital healthcare transformation, you will ensure that technology solutions align with clinical workflows while maintaining interoperability and compliance with NHS standards.
Your Responsibilities
- Drive design, development, implementation, integration, and support for EPR system to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
- Lead technical aspects of system go-lives, including data migration from multiple legacy systems to the identified EPR system.
- Enable compliance with NHS Service Standards including DTAC, DSPT, Cyber Security, Clinical Safety, and Accessibility requirements.
- Drive EPR implementation covering aspects like creating the implementation plan, identifying the right modules that will be rolled out first, user engagement and system adoption.
- Lead customers through a benefit and change management process.
- Ensure seamless system integration with existing platforms including PAS, NHS App, and EDMS, LIMS, PACS etc.
- Analyze and map patient pathways and hospital operational flows to ensure the system supports safe and effective care delivery leveraging FHIR & HL7.
- Provide Change Management support for existing systems and new projects in a time bound manner.
- Support team members to deliver on their functionally relevant objectives through offering advice, guidance and support as appropriate.
Your Profile
Essential Skills/knowledge/experience
- Minimum 10 years experience in designing & delivering EPR systems within NHS Trusts. (Preferably Cerner Millenium and Nerve centre EPR)
- Strong understanding of patient pathways, clinical and operational workflows.
- Knowledge of national integration guidelines and interoperability standards like FHIR.
- Exposure to NHS App, DSPT and DTAC compliance needs for application rollout.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to deal with multiple stakeholders and develop EPR implementation plans.
- Resilient and adaptable in complex program environments.
- Masters or equivalent knowledge on PMP / PRINCE2 Foundation.
- Evidence of ongoing personal development.

- Ability to plan and prioritize own and others workload.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Microsoft Project/Visio or similar software package.
