Due to excellent levels of staff retention, opportunities with this client rarely become available. However, due to the further development of an oil terminal installation project, an opportunity has now arisen for an Electrical Technician to join them, at their site in Hertfordshire. In your new role as an Electrical Technician, you will take ownership of installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment, at oil terminals. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical components related to oil storage, pumping and distribution systems.
The key responsibilities for your new role, are as follows:
Installing, inspecting and maintaining electrical systems, equipment and components at the oil terminal.
Ensuring compliance with electrical codes, regulations and safety standards.
Conducting routine inspections to identify and address potential electrical problems.
Analysing and interpreting electrical schematics to identify and resolve issues.
Implementing corrective actions to prevent recurring electrical problems.
Calibrating and adjusting electrical equipment to ensure accurate and efficient operation.
Performing routine checks on electrical instruments and gauges to maintain accuracy.
Maintaining accurate records of electrical installations, repairs and maintenance activities.
Documenting equipment specifications, serial numbers and calibration data.
Coordinating with other maintenance and operations personnel to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with overall terminal functionality.
Communicating effectively with Supervisors and colleagues regarding work progress and challenges.
My client is keen to find and electrically-biased Technician, with significant industry experience, who holds a Level 3 electrical qualification or has completed a similar Apprenticeship program. In an ideal world, you will also hold CompEx EX01-04 qualifications. Regardless of previous expertise, you will possess strong attention to detail and work precision, effective communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work in various physical situations and confined spaces.
