We are looking for Receptionists with strong administrative skills to join a busy and supportive secondary schools in the Leeds area. You\'ll be the face of the school and a key part of the admin team, helping ensure daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.

About the Role

As the first point of contact, you ll provide a welcoming reception for students, staff, parents, and visitors. You ll also support vital office functions, working closely with staff across departments to deliver excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the school s reception area, welcoming all visitors and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed
  • Answering telephone and email enquiries professionally and efficiently
  • Supporting attendance, admissions, and general admin duties
  • Sending out communications to parents/carers using internal systems
  • Updating records and data using school MIS systems (SIMS or Arbor)
  • Providing lunch or absence cover for the reception as needed

What We re Looking For

  • Previous receptionist or admin experience (school experience preferred)
  • Familiarity with school MIS systems like SIMS or Arbor (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Calm, friendly, and professional under pressure
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Rate of pay is dependent on current grade, experience and payroll method.
