My client is a media business in the York area. Working in an established finance team, you will be the go-to person for the payroll processing. Our client is looking for an experienced payroll professional with experience in payroll processing to join them on a permanent basis.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of weekly and four weekly payroll for the business.

The role is based fully on-site at superb offices and offers great flexible working options and benefits.

The holidays 31 days including bank holidays with your birthday off too on the day or your choice of day across the month.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the payroll processing as your sole responsibility
  • Process improvement and minimising errors
  • Solving queries relating to hourly workers and queries relating to pay
  • Communicating with internal stakeholders and working closely with other departments
  • Producing reports for senior management with regards to payroll
  • Ability to assist on hands on payroll and work independently
  • Using Sage system for payroll and an internal payroll system to process payroll and Microsoft Excel
