We are currently recruiting for a Legal Secretary to join our client in Nottingham.

The Role – Legal Secretary
As a Legal Secretary in the Commercial Property and Corporate department, you will provide essential administrative and typing support, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
Your duties will include:
- Audio and copy typing using the BigHand digital dictation system
- Producing legal documents and case file notes with high accuracy
- General administrative support including filing, document formatting, and correspondence
- Handling client queries via telephone and in person
- Supporting fee earners and the wider legal team with organisational tasks
The Candidate – Legal Secretary
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Methodical and organised approach to work
- Ability to manage tasks under pressure and meet deadlines
- Professional and approachable, with a strong team ethic
Must have:
- Experience with audio typing (legal environment preferred but not essential)
- Proficiency in MS Word and general IT literacy
- Solid English language skills in grammar, spelling, and formatting
Desirable:
- Prior experience working in a legal firm
- Familiarity with BigHand digital dictation or similar systems
