Are you an experienced HR Advisor looking for an exciting opportunity? Join this stable, independent concrete supplier and become a key member of the HR team. As the HR Advisor, your primary focus will be supporting internal managers in effectively handling employee relations. Working Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, out of the Stowmarket based Head Office.

Competitive salary from GBP30,000 to GBP35,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a HR Advisor in an ER-focused HR role.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and best practice in employee relations.
  • Experience in managing complex ER cases with confidence and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on HR projects, driving positive change in the business.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.
  • CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) is desirable but not essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on complex ER cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance issues.
  • Support line managers in handling employee relations effectively and in line with company policies and employment law.
  • Manage and resolve cases proactively, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes while mitigating risk.
  • Lead and contribute to HR projects, such as policy development, employee engagement initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Support organisational change, including restructures, redundancies, and TUPE processes.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, coaching and upskilling managers in HR best practice.
  • Keep up to date with employment legislation, ensuring compliance and best practice across the business.
