Hotel Receptionist

The hotel offers first-class cuisine, with chefs sourcing ingredients from trusted Devon suppliers to create delicious menus that will surprise and delight you.

The luxurious en-suite bedrooms are beautifully furnished, with most featuring private balconies facing south with exceptional sea views of Sidmouth seafront.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As a Senior Receptionist, you will be required to lead shifts, manage hotel bookings, and communicate with all departments to ensure high customer care standards. You will also answer internal and external calls professionally and friendly, performing tasks such as:

1. Recording and controlling hotel bookings accurately
2. Handling calls and emails efficiently, passing messages as needed
3. Carrying out administrative tasks including hotel banking
4. Providing friendly and professional customer service
5. Maintaining a tidy workstation and functional equipment
6. Complying with company policies on HASAWA, fire safety, legal requirements, and other duties as assigned
7. Assisting other departments and maintaining good working relationships

Essential Criteria

Previous senior reception experience in a quality hotel is preferred.
