Finance Administrator required to work for an Accountancy Practice based in Crawley, West Sussex. However, this role is part remote and you will be expected in the office 2 days per week (usually a Tuesday and a Thursday).

The main purpose of this role is to support the Financial Accounts & Compliance Manager. It will include daily and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and updating of accounting records, assisting with year-end group reporting and the production of statutory accounts for the company s legal entities. You will also have wider responsibilities including supporting the Firm s Professional Indemnity Insurance provisioning process.

This is an excellent entry level role for an individual pursuing a career in finance. We would ideally like this candidate to have circa 1 year experience. We could even consider someone who had to pause their accounting journey because of parenting, but now they are ready to resume play.

We need someone with high-energy and who is looking to eventually springboard their career in finance. It is essential this candidate would want to move upwards and become fully qualified, which our client would fully support.

You will have the following skills:

  • Proficiency in Excel and Outlook and in the production of bank reconciliations and preparation of accounting journals
  • Previous experience using an ERP, ideally Workday
  • Good communication skills, both oral and in writing
  • The ability to manage and plan your own workload with multiple deadlines to be achieved
  • Strong attention to detail when producing reports and using large data sets
  • Experience of working in professional services or a partnership (desirable but not essential)
  • Previous experience in accounts payable or accounts receivable would be advantageous
  • Willingness to become fully qualified is essential!
  • High energy individual who is ambitious and wants to go places in their career
