Construction Buying/Procurement Administrator

Our client works predominantly within the construction industry, supplying housing projects across the UK & Europe. They are based in Laindon, Essex, and have a positive work environment within their modern offices. We are seeking a candidate with previous experience in the construction industry or a similar field, and experience in procurement/buying.

The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for procurement/buying. They will work alongside the purchasing team to ensure smooth operations and efficient material sourcing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing supplier quotes and creating cost comparison spreadsheets
  • Processing and placing orders, updating the procurement system
  • Assisting with H & S documentation, including COSHH reports
  • Checking invoices against purchase orders for accuracy
  • Managing supplier communication and chasing deliveries
  • Handling site requests for additional or replacement materials

Applicants should have at least five years of experience in procurement/buying, strong numerical and analytical skills, and be highly organized with excellent attention to detail.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 8.30 am to 5 pm, and Friday, 8.30 am to 4.30 pm. This is an office-based role; remote working is not available.
