Join FSK UK and Pee-Wee Karate, a highly respected, independent Shotokan family led by Kyoshi Debi Steven, 7th Dan. With over 25 years of history in the UK, we proudly offer 52 weekly classes to over 500 karateka across London, focusing on mental and physical health, traditional karate values, and a strong, supportive community.

What karate training do we deliver to communities?

  • Pee-Wee Karate (Ages 3-5): Offers fun, age-appropriate lessons that build foundational karate skills.
  • FSK UK (Ages 6 and Adults): Guide students through our structured Shotokan syllabus, enhancing mental and physical wellbeing, karate etiquette and core values.

The Opportunity: We are seeking a dedicated Shotokan Karate Instructor for a flexible freelance/fixed-term contract based in South West London (Kew, Richmond, Wimbledon, Twickenham, and Teddington). This role offers the chance to make a genuine impact across all age groups & grades. We offer a competitive hourly rate of £20.00 - £25.00 and an inclusive environment, supported by our community-focused FSK UK Team.

As an organisation committed to safeguarding, all successful applicants undergo stringent Safer Recruitment Policy & procedures and are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Your Profile: You must be a certified Black Belt in Shotokan Karate with:

  • A deep commitment to Shotokan philosophy (applicants not trained in Shotokan will not be considered).
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, fluent in English.
  • The ability to motivate and inspire students of all ages and abilities.
  • Flexibility and a positive team-player attitude, essential for our dedicated instructor team.
