The Job:
- To provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children from 3 years of age
- To provide safe, creative and appropriate play opportunities including preparing activities, leading activities and arranging equipment
- To supervise Play Workers and support other team members in delivering activities
- To be aware of and act in accordance with current legislation, good practice, club policies and procedures
- To promote the high standards of the club at all times to parents, staff and visitors
- To report back to the management team as required with information relating to staff, children, activities, quality of the provision and anything else deemed necessary
The Commitment:
This role is available for Mondays - Fridays of school holidays, excluding bank holidays & Christmas, from 8.00 am - 6pm/ 8.30am – 5.30pm per day. Flexible working hours are offered to suit your availability.
Salary and benefits:
- £13 - £14 per hour depending on experience and age
- Free childcare for children aged 3 years and over
We are looking for:
Someone who loves to see children of all ages enjoying different activities and having fun. You\'ll be friendly and approachable, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to work closely with the management team to ensure that the club organisation and administration is of the highest quality.
- NVQ Level 2 qualification or above in Childcare, specifically in early years (ESSENTIAL)
- Experience working with children in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Safeguarding
- Experience of working in an Early Years setting (desirable)
- Paediatric First Aid training (desirable)
