We are seeking a freelance Production Manager to start ASAP, full time until November then part time until Early Summer 2027. Based in London.

Key Responsibilities
  • The Production Manager (Music Documentary) will oversee the day to day management of production operations, budgets, crew hires, logistics, and delivery across the project.
  • Working closely with the Production Executive, they will ensure all production activity is delivered efficiently, safely, and on schedule from development through post production.
  • Key responsibilities include managing UK and international shoot logistics, coordinating travel and staffing, supporting post production workflows and final delivery, and acting as the primary point of contact throughout the production period.
  • They will also liaise closely with the Health & Safety team to review supplier RAMS and develop production risk assessments.
  • Experience managing archive and music clearances is essential.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Strong production management experience across documentary, factual, or premium content productions, with the ability to oversee complex projects from prep through delivery.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills when managing crews, suppliers, rights holders, contributors, and stakeholders.
  • Experience managing production budgets, schedules, crew hires, travel logistics, and post production workflows.
  • Proven experience coordinating archive and music clearances, including rights management and licensing processes.
  • Strong understanding of production health & safety procedures, including supplier RAMS and risk assessments.
  • Calm, proactive, and solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a long-form production schedule.
  • Confident using production management software, budgeting tools, and Google Workspace.
